As a key member of our Data Designing group (inside DDSI), you'll play a vital role in planning and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set mapping, and building batch processes using Apache Wind current for various projects. **About Disney and Our Data Management Team** Disney is a global leader in the entertainment industry, known for its enchanting universe of movies, TV shows, and theme parks. As a Senior Information Architect, you'll be part of a collaborative and innovative team that's passionate about using data to tell the Disney story. **Key Responsibilities** As a Senior Information Architect, you'll be responsible for: * Collaborating with our Studios or Project Innovation colleagues on data requirements gathering, data approval planning and review, creating and testing ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set mapping, and arrangement across multiple environments like DEV, QA/UAT, and Prod. * Designing and implementing data pipelines using Apache Wind current, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL. * Working with a wide range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Wind current, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL. * Participating in driving best practices around data designing software development processes. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data management needs. * Developing and maintaining data visualizations and reports to support business decisions. * Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3. * 3+ years of experience in an Information Designing role, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices. * Proficiency in SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind current, AWS S3, and Social Data sets. * Experience working with cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, and application data sets. * Familiarity with Apache Wind current, Databricks, and Gitlab/Github. * 2+ years of experience working with Docker and large datasets. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate: * A Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry. * Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based technologies. * Experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Tableau. **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement data pipelines and data visualizations. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. * Strong technical skills, with proficiency in SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind current, AWS S3, and Social Data sets. * Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and S3. * Familiarity with data management principles and practices, including data quality, integrity, and security. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Senior Information Architect at Disney, you'll have the opportunity to: * Work on high-impact projects that drive business decisions and improve customer experiences. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data management needs. * Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to support business decisions. * Participate in driving best practices around data designing software development processes. * Receive training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. * Join a dynamic and innovative team that's passionate about using data to tell the Disney story. **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a remote employee, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
