Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peer researchers to understand research needs and develop/execute research efforts to support those needs.
- Design and execute new primary quantitative or qualitative research to understand customer needs/expectations and improve the customer experience.
- Perform statistical analyses on various data sets to explain customer behavior (for quantitative researchers).
- Utilize qualitative methods to understand 'the why' behind customer behavior and help build compelling customer stories (for qualitative researchers).
- Communicate complex analyses and insights in a simple and actionable way to business partners; develop creative and immersive ways to help business partners take data from insights to action.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, think outside the box, and constantly focus on developing yourself and your skills.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a MS or PhD degree in a research-related field like Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Anthropology, Design Thinking, Economics, or Marketing.
- Experience scoping, designing, and conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
- Experience manipulating and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as R, SPSS, SAS, Python, or Qualtrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly valued:
- Experience working with large data sets and performing advanced statistical analyses.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of insurance and financial services industry trends and challenges.
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
