As a Bilingual Customer Care Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our French and English-speaking clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing account information with a high level of professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, or other communication channels, providing accurate and timely solutions.
  • Research and analyze customer issues to provide effective resolutions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues on the first contact whenever possible, escalating complex issues to senior representatives or specialized teams as needed.
  • Provide customers with detailed account information, including transaction history, account status, and other relevant details.
  • Handle billing disputes, correct payment errors, and revise fee and finance charges as appropriate, following blithequark's policies and procedures.
  • Perform account maintenance tasks, including updating customer information and processing card or check orders.
  • Act on reports of lost or stolen cards/checks, taking prompt action to prevent unauthorized transactions.
  • Investigate customer problems that could not be resolved during the initial contact, following up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
  • At least two to four years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Prior experience in banking, merchant payment services, point of sales, or financial services is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of banking products and services, including concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult customer calls professionally.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills, with experience using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to identify and resolve problems or escalate them to the appropriate teams.
  • Good time management skills to maximize the number of clients assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service.
