[Remote-Position] Business Analyst

Daily tasks will include:
• Analyze existing system documentation and related artifacts to elicit detailed requirements.
• Analyze and understand as-is business processes and systems sufficiently to establish to-be workflows and designs.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs), executive teams, managers, program directors, and end users to meet the business needs of the project.
• Conduct requirements elicitation, confirmation, and validation processes.
• Produce the necessary project artifacts that capture all stated, confirmed, and validated requirements.
• Collaborate with the HESC team on requirements definition to confirm that system requirements align with state and federal standards and strategy.
• Adhere to internal controls, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to the systems development life cycle.
• Provide guidance to application development resource(s), through product backlogs, user stories, roadmaps, sprint plans, and related artifacts.
• Support software validation through user acceptance and similar test strategies.
• Provide project management support as needed.
Business Analyst
Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
Expert 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months of experience in performing requirements elicitation and business analysis, producing written documentation of requirements; system design and implementation
• 48 months of experience in Agile development environment working with stakeholders across different levels of the organization
• 84 months of experience using recognized business analysis methodologies (e.g., business process flows, fit-gap analyses, or functional designs) to design solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes
• 84 months of experience developing test scenarios, scripts, and data; reviewing test results; and assessing the implementation of appropriate solutions to ensure they perform to the required specifications and achieve the design capabilities.
• 84 months of experience describing in a comprehensive written document (e.g., business case, fit-gap analysis document, or functional specification) what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirement(s)
• 48 months of experience working on a large scale IT modernization project
• 36 months of experience using Client/ALM or a similar quality assurance tool
• 36 months of experience working in a public sector environment
