Summary

As a Network Cloud Manager at Allegiant, you play a vital role in the design, maintenance, and performance of all production on-premises and cloud-based networks. You will help guide Allegiant’s cloud transformation efforts to ensure our systems remain highly resilient while adding cloud native functionality to achieve long term scalability and stability. You will be a champion of innovation by taking the initiative to see problems turned into solutions. You are systematic in problem solving, levelheaded under pressure, never satisfied with the status quo, patient to see all members arrive at an understanding of an issue and thrive on creative solutions to problems without over complicating. This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of Network design and implementation both on premise and in the cloud, technical expertise, and excellent team management skills.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP are highly desirable.

Years of Experience:

•Minimum eight (8) years of experience in 24x7 operations requiring rapid response as a seasoned Network engineer.

•Minimum two (2) years of Cloud Network Engineering.

•Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud network architectures, with a focus on AWS and Azure services in a hybrid enterprise environment.

•Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless.

•Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting.

•In-depth understanding of network security principles and best practices, with experience in securing cloud environments.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

•Ability to drive and manage cross departmental projects with attention to detail and communication.

Preferred Requirements

•One or more of the following certifications:

•AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

•Azure Solutions Architect.

•Cisco CCNP.

Job Duties

•Lead and inspire a dynamic team of Network engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

•Oversee the design and management of our Network infrastructure, ensuring it can scale to meet the demands of our growing digital ecosystem.

•Lead incident response and resolution efforts, minimizing downtime, and ensuring timely recovery from system failures.

•Drive the development and maintenance of automation tools and monitoring systems to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

•Employ a data-driven approach to analyze system performance metrics, incident reports, and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement in our airline's digital infrastructure.

•Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our Network Engineering team, regularly reporting on progress to senior management.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and internal processes to improve the end-user experience.

•Build and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to leverage external expertise and resources.

•Ensure that systems and processes comply with industry standards and security protocols, taking proactive steps to safeguard customer data.

•Foster the growth and development of the Network Engineering team members through coaching, training, and mentorship.

•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.

•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.

•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
