Through AmeriCorps funding, CARE Corps will support 97 AmeriCorps members who will serve as peer tutors/mentors, classroom teaching support, or mental health clinicians in Beaufort, Carteret, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, Pitt, Wilson Counties. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for serving 4,050 kindergarten through 12th grade students. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 480 volunteers who will be engaged in national days of service (9/11 Day of Service, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, National AmeriCorps Week, National Volunteer Week) and in service projects scheduled at partner agencies. Job Duties The Counseling CARE Corps Associate Director will work with the ECU REI Team to ensure strong relationships with our school district and community partners leading to effective Counseling CARE members in the program, and high levels of service for families and students. The Associate Director will be responsible for all duties related to counseling services and evaluation activities associated with REI's CARE Corps grant and school/community partners. Duties include but are not limited to: recruitment of members and sites, securing memoranda of understanding, collect and analyze entry/exit participant evaluation data, collect and analyze fidelity data (logs and evaluation reports), technical assistance provision related to counseling service activities for grant partners, preparation and delivery of evidence-based training in counseling, preparation and facilitation of training, supervision and mentorship of a Counseling CARE members/site supervisors serving, and other duties as assigned. Job Duties: 35% Partnership Leadership: Responsible for a) effective communications with school and community partners to ensure strong partnerships, b) disseminating details about the REI CARE Corps program at regional meetings, c) providing technical assistance regarding counseling CARE service activities, d) establishing meeting locations and training MOUs with LEA partners, e) delivery of evidence-based training related to counseling service activities. 30% Member Advising: Responsible for a) coordinating member coaching, recruitment, admissions, and training, b) preparation and delivery of evidence-based training related to counseling, c) conducting member check-ins and providing technical assistance for site supervisors. 5% Marketing: Responsible for a) managing and compiling Counseling CARE Corps marketing information, b) updating calendar activities, c) maintaining the REI Counseling CARE Corps website and social media. 15% Team Supervision: Responsible for a) organizing and facilitating regular Counseling CARE members and site supervisor meetings, b) maintaining meeting minutes and monitoring plans, c) coordinating with the CARE Corps Program Coordinator/Compliance Officer to process REI Counseling CARE Corps Team members' travel reimbursements with COE ORI, d) liaison with ECU Faculty Advisors in the ECU Counseling Education degree/licensure program. 15% Evaluation and Grant Development: Responsible for a) collecting and analyzing REI Counseling CARE Corps outcome, fidelity, and assessment data, b) coordinating external evaluation activities related to Counseling CARE service pathways to support grant development. Contingent upon availability of funding. Minimum Education/Experience Master's Degree in Counseling Education or related discipline Licensed mental health clinician Experience in school-based counseling License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation None Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and digital file sharing and database systems. High organizational skills, experience implementing evidence-based programs in counseling education, facilitation and training experience, mentoring, and experience in data management.
