Role Description
This role involves providing SQL DBA support in a dynamic IT environment at Itron.
Resolve complex SQL Server technical issues for internal customers.
Support all internal systems and applications issues.
Provide remote support including end-user support and business systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL servers.
Perform daily administrative tasks such as monitoring alerts and backups.
Implement security requests and manage support tickets.
Create and maintain documentation for each database.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience working with SQL Server PROD environment.
Mandatory skillset: Azure VM, Azure SQL, PowerBI, PowerShell Scripting, Performance Tuning, SSAS/SSIS administration.
Experience with Always-On and administering MS SQL Server version 2016 or later.
Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security.
Intermediate knowledge of networking and Windows Server.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership of production issues.
Requirements
Experience with Failover Clustering, High Availability, Data Migrations, Upgrades.
Ability to debug the system for issues and provide clarity/workarounds.
Build automation and scripts to proactively identify issues.
Support data replication from PROD to PRE-PROD and UAT environments.
Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
