Job Title: Senior Google Ads Specialist

Hours: 38 hours per week, 7.6 hours per day (starting 9am Sydney time)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Google Ads / SEM Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and executing Google Ads strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients as we continue to build out our Google Ads division. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of Google Ads campaigns, from keyword research and ad creation to performance analysis, optimisation and reporting. The role also requires a very strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Google Ads strategies aligned with client objectives.

  • Propose recommended campaign structures, match types, optimisation goals etc.

  • Conduct in-depth keyword/competitor research and audience targeting to maximise campaign reach and effectiveness.

  • Create compelling ad copy, to then be approved by our copywriter

  • Understand each client’s businesses including their products, services, and target market to ensure keywords are relevant and attract the right kind of customer

  • Setup and management of Google Analytics 4, including creating conversion events

  • In-depth knowledge of Google Tag Manager, including auditing existing setups

  • Basic ability to audit website / landing page performance and provide recommendations to improve SEM conversion rate, e.g. Direct response copywriting tweaks visual asset suggestions, adding testimonials, page structure, etc

  • Manage campaign budgets and bidding strategies to optimise ROI.

  • Monitor campaign performance, pace budgets, analyse key metrics, and provide regular reports to your Account Manager.

  • Investing up to 1 hr of time per week into research and development of your skills.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Ads trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, ideally within an agency setting

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other relevant tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
