The VCP (Variable Cost Productivity) Manager will be responsible for achieving the MENA variable cost productivity targets; partnering with the regional ITR and fulfillment teams to drive short-term and long-term cost optimization actions.

Job Description

The VCP (Variable Cost Productivity) Manager will be responsible for achieving the MENA variable cost productivity targets; partnering with the regional ITR teams, FieldCore, repairs, and sourcing to ensure maximized profitability via cost out actions and programs.

What you’ll do;

  • Developing and leading short-term and long-term Cost-Out and Productivity strategies with the OTR team and fulfilment teams (FieldCore, Repairs, Parts, Sourcing, P&ES, .. Etc)
  • Drive cross-functional PSRs & Lean Initiatives around regional cost drivers
  • Conducting in-depth review of regional VCP drivers based on pre- and post-execution cost analysis.
  • Coordinating between ITR and fulfilment teams on cost actualization, cost forecasts and targets
  • Working with global productivity team to coordinate and implement initiatives
  • Assisting with ITO cost estimates for critical tenders or long-term Contracts
  • Aligning with the ITR Team on the analysis of risk, management of change orders and mitigation of Emergent cost during the execution stage.
  • Implementation of Cost-Out Process & KPIs Tracking and Analysis
  • Conducting TX & MMP Margin Reviews
  • Leading sub-regional reviews with Regional General Managers and Service Directors
  • Leading the development and training of contract cost management principals and processes, best practices and lessons learned.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications);

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Power Industry
  • Demonstrated Knowledge and experience in power plant service contracts offerings, relevant technical, financial, cost & project risk management principles

  • Technical understanding of scope and obligations for power plant service contracts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at higher management levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate good people leadership, influencing and management skills including the ability to work independently and communicate effectively within and across all levels of project functional groups.
  • Team player with strong ability to work in result-oriented and matrix organization
  • Flexible to travel when required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional local languages will be an advantage.
