Senior Technical Sales Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Sales Specialist to lead commercial sales activities in New Jersey and New York. This role will focus on developing and growing key customer relationships, expanding the customer base within the assigned territory, and supporting clients with a comprehensive understanding of drug product development pipelines—including cell and gene therapy, vaccines, antibodies, and small molecules.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage commercial sales activities through customer visits, presentations, phone calls, and emails.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute effective territory sales plans.
  • Build and extend relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand and communicate complex technical information to customers.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Technical Support, and other internal teams.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, association meetings, and networking events as needed.
  • Travel within the territory approximately 40-50% of the time.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant bioindustry experience involving recombinant proteins or related products.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Prior sales or other customer-facing experience in the life sciences industry.

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Work Location:
Preferred: New York; also considering New Jersey (Remote)

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This position primarily operates in an office setting, with occasional exposure to laboratory and warehouse environments. The role requires regular use of hands and fingers for handling objects and controls, frequent standing, talking, and hearing.
