We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst (Operational Analytics) to join our Operational Analytics Department (OAD).

This job can be performed 100% remotely, and out of state candidates will be considered.

The Business Analyst will coordinate analytics project delivery using agile methodologies while serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development team. Organizes sprint planning, facilitates requirements gathering, and drives efficient execution of analytics and automation initiatives.

    Essential Duties
  • Facilitates regular team standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings
  • Maintains clear understanding of CU Medicine data ecosystem and the team’s technical capabilities
  • Leads information gathering sessions with business stakeholders to scope and solution technical specifications
  • Maintains project backlogs and sprint boards using agile project management tools
  • Works with OAD Leadership to identify impediments and resolve dependencies blocking analytics project delivery
  • Manages stakeholder expectations around delivery timelines and scope changes
  • Establishes and maintains delivery frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Coaches team members on agile principles and continuous improvement
    Requirements
  • 2-4 years business analysis experience supporting technical teams
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills are essential to this role
  • Experience with agile project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.) is required
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent agile certification preferred
  • Proven track record coordinating software development or analytics projects is required
  • Background in data analytics or technical process improvement is preferred
  • Experience working with SQL, Python, or automation platforms a plus
  • Experience building dashboards with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platform is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare (specifically revenue cycle) strongly preferred; experience with AthenaIDX is a plus
  • BA/BS or equivalent job experience is required
  • The ability to work in a team environment working cohesively with others to achieve goals and initiatives is essential
