Field Inspector (Investigator 2) | Underfill Opportunity As the Field Inspector (Investigator 2) for the Oregon Veterinary Medical Examining Board (OVMEB), you will primarily inspect licensed veterinary facilities throughout the state of Oregon in accordance with administrative laws, rules, and policies. This essential work includes conducting inspections of licensed facilities, reviewing facility records, including medical and exam reports. This includes reporting identified violations to licensees and working to negotiate appropriate correction of deficiencies. This position requires providing findings to the Board via presentations and written reports. Another primary function of this position is to act as agency rules coordinator. This essential duty includes conducting agency review of rule changes, coordinating, and facilitating rulemaking advisory committees; coordinating process with Secretary of State and Attorney General; organizing public hearings; answering questions from public, agency staff, Attorney General, and legislative office staff. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: A skilled professional with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and a minimum of two years of recent (within the last five years) investigative experience*; * Investigative experience includes gathering facts, collecting evidence, examining records, and conducting interviews to verify or disprove claims of suspected law violations. NOTE: College courses in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Law, pre-law, accounting, auditing or a closely field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to one year of the required experience. Underfill Opportunity: The goal of this recruitment is to fill this position as an Investigator 2. However, if the successful applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications for the Investigator 2 classification but does meet the minimum qualifications for Investigator 1 classification, the applicant will be appointed to the classification of Investigator 1 (SR 19 $4,016.00 - $5,573.00).
