Director, Acquisition

How this role will Serve, Own and Grow at Rev:

Do you want to work at a high-growth company where your impact is seen and rewarded? Are you looking for the autonomy to do your best work? Rev is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director of Acquisition to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you will own our customer acquisition strategy across all digital channels – including paid media, SEO, and web – driving significant customer and revenue growth. You’ll have the opportunity to shape strategy across these channels and see your impact directly on the business.

You will be a people manager leading a team across Paid Media, SEO, Web Development, and Web Design. This position reports to the Director of Integrated Marketing and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Content Marketing, and Design. You will be responsible for scaling new customer acquisition through both paid and organic channels, optimizing our website for conversion, and maximizing return on investment from our marketing efforts. To thrive in this role, you should be a strategic yet hands-on leader with a bias for action and a highly analytical, datadriven approach. You excel at working cross-functionally and can move with urgency to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and optimize the acquisition funnel: Own the paid media budget and overall acquisition strategy from forecasting through post-campaign analysis. Ensure efficient allocation of spend and strong ROI across all channels.

  • Scale multi-channel growth: Grow new customer acquisition by scaling existing digital channels (search, display, paid social, programmatic, etc.) and continually testing new channels (e.g. emerging platforms and app store marketing) to maximize reach and volume.

  • Drive organic growth: Oversee and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy (technical, content, and on-page optimization) to increase organic traffic and conversions. Ensure our web properties are optimized for search visibility, user experience, and conversion.

  • Web strategy & conversion optimization: Guide web development and design efforts to continually improve website performance, UX/UI, and conversion rates. Design and run A/B tests (using tools like GrowthBook) to optimize landing pages, funnels, and creative for better engagement and conversion. Define KPIs and leverage analytics: Establish clear KPIs across the marketing funnel (traffic, CAC, conversion rate, ROAS, LTV, etc.) and closely monitor performance. Analyze campaign and website analytics data (via Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Looker, etc.) to derive insights and inform ongoing strategy and budget allocation.

  • Team leadership and collaboration: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing acquisition team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, experimentation, and rapid execution. Work closely with internal stakeholders and outside agencies/partners to align acquisition initiatives with broader company goals and ensure cohesive messaging across channels.

  • Executive reporting and strategy: Serve as the thought leader for acquisition marketing. Regularly present performance results, insights, and clear recommendations to executive leadership. Provide vision and direction on future growth strategies, and champion new ideas and innovations in digital marketing to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of digital marketing experience, with a heavy emphasis on customer acquisition across SEO, SEM/Paid Media, and web/landing page optimization

  • 5+ years of proven people management experience, including building and leading multidisciplinary marketing teams and managing agency or vendor partnerships

  • Track record of growth: Demonstrated success in developing, executing, and scaling innovative acquisition programs across a variety of channels and audiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Budget & analytical expertise: Experience managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets and forecasting performance outcomes. Deep understanding of marketing analytics, attribution models, and key performance metrics (e.g. CAC, ROAS, LTV, conversion rates), with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action to optimize spend and strategy

  • Tool proficiency: Strong proficiency with marketing analytics and optimization tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Looker or similar BI platforms, Mixpanel, and A/B testing frameworks (e.g. GrowthBook). Hands-on experience with major advertising platforms and SEO tools – for example, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads Manager, SEMrush, etc.

  • Action-oriented leadership: Bias for action with the ability to move quickly and decisively. A hands-on approach to problem-solving and optimization, not afraid to dive into the details to get things done

  • Excellent communication: Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Able to clearly articulate strategy, results, and recommendations to different stakeholders (including executives) and influence cross-functional teams to align behind acquisition goals

  • Passion for growth: Genuine enthusiasm for growth marketing and innovation. Stays current with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies (e.g. AI-driven marketing tools, new advertising channels, growth hacking tactics) and constantly seeks out new opportunities for expansion
