Position Summary
Chief Program Officer provides leadership, management, and oversight for GLIDE programs that meet our organizational mission and vision—extending services and supports to the most vulnerable in our community and across the city. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Chief Program Officer will lead a team of Sr. Directors/Directors in establishing the vision, goals, and strategies for our GLIDE Forward strategy, maintaining program delivery, meeting budget goals annually, achieving contract deliverables and partnering with public/private funders and community-based organizations in furtherance GLIDE’s goals. The Chief Program Officer is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing program leadership, executing health and human services to vulnerable populations in the SF Bay Area, fundraising new resources to support program expansion, and supervising staff in a multi-faceted social service organization. In this role you will provide leadership in strategic program planning, contract management and oversight, data systems, and will have proven track record of developing, implementing, and evaluating new program initiatives. The CPO will have experience working with unhoused and/or very low-income individuals and families including people who use drugs and/or are seeking active treatment for behavioral health, transitional-age youth, families, children, and seniors.
