Desktop Technician**
- *Overview:** The Desktop Technician is a technical expert in Windows 10 & 11 and Mac OS certified, providing technical support and services to faculty and staff, and responsible for various tasks such as moves, adds, and changes, as well as special projects. **Responsibilities:**
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them with users
- Provide point of contact for technical issues and services
- Perform moves, adds, and changes as needed
- Support classroom technology during the school year
- Install new computers and software upgrades
- Provide Tier 2 support for Help Desk regarding issues they are unable to resolve
- Serve as technical expert in meetings, provide support analysis, and provide IT metrics and licensing
- Provide phone support when needed, with remote work approval by manager
- Some weekend and night shifts required
- *Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field
- 2+ years of related experience as a Desktop Technician
- Thorough knowledge of Mac OS, Windows, and Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook and Adobe Creative Suite Applications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with good follow-up skills
- Ability to represent ITS positively at all levels, from management to VP level
- Self-motivated, reliable, and team player
