About the Role:

The Vice President of Accounting / Controller will play a crucial role in managing the finance team and ensuring the effectiveness of accounting practices within the organization.

    Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a finance team of 7-8 accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of all accounting software and ensure seamless access to information for audits (financial, 401(k), insurance, etc.).
  • Conduct thorough analysis and audits of balance sheet accounts, with a focus on aged items, deferred revenue, and accruals.
  • Lead cash management functions, maintaining compliance with credit agreements and managing forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive organizational success and improve financial processes and controls in compliance with GAAP.
    Qualifications:
  • Lead Controller experience within the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on managerial roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
  • Experience with financial audits, budgeting, forecasting, and implementing operational improvements.
