We are currently seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join a collaborative team serving students in Seattle, WA.     State and Federal Requirements:
  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate with Deaf Education endorsement.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to IDEA, ADA, and Section 504.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
  • Background check and fingerprinting in compliance with state and district policies.
    Job Description/Duties:
  • Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students
  • Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
