We are currently seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join a collaborative team serving students in Seattle, WA. - State and Federal Requirements:
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with Deaf Education endorsement.
- Knowledge of and adherence to IDEA, ADA, and Section 504.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
- Background check and fingerprinting in compliance with state and district policies.
- Job Description/Duties:
- Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students
- Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches
- Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams
- Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
