pHours: Part Time Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Availability for holiday camps held from 8am-6pm for 13 days per school year when DOE is closed, and throughout the summer./p
pSalary Range: $30 per hour to $30 per hour/p

Gary Klinsky Children's Centers (GKCC) provide after-school learning opportunities to childrenbr /
from low-income families, who attend some of New York City s lowest performing publicbr /
elementary schools. The GKCC program is offered every weekday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.br /
at five public elementary schools located in East New York, Brownsville and Bedford-br /
Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The five GKCC centers serve over 700 elementary school childrenbr /
annually./p
pPosition Summary:/p
pAssist the Site Director in leading day to day operations of a school-based after schoolbr /
program. and ensure consistent implementation of the thematic curriculum designed by our Elementary Education Specialist and DYCD program model. Provide consistent, high quality program service delivery to all clients populations in accordance with funder and regulatory requirements; best practices; BCS policies and Core Values; Serve as a role model to all stakeholders./p
- pbr /strongResponsibilities:/strongbr /br /
- In absence of the Site Director provide effective supervision of teachers, assistantbr / teachers, and volunteer staff according to criteria set by Division Director.br /
- Aid in planning and implementing clubs and field trips.br /
- Participate DYCD, BCS and other training opportunities when schedule permits.br /
- Assist the Site Director in managing and maintaining student and staff files inbr / compliance with DYCD, DOH and BCS policy.br /
- Aid the Site Director during the interview process as needed and following BCS s Hiringbr / Policy.br /
- Assist the Site Director in the recruitment and enrollment of students and provide databr / entry support in order to ensure timely attendance and enrollment reporting in DYCDbr /Connect.br /
- Assist the Site Director in maintaining compliance with all DYCD, DOH, and DOEbr / regulations./p
p-Assist the Site Director and afterschool staff in the organization of parent engagementbr /
activities (i.e., Holiday parties, Celebratory Events, culminating presentations based onbr /
thematic curriculum, parent workshops, etc.)/p
- pstrongQualifications Required:/strongbr /
- Bachelor s degree or Associates degree in Education preferred depending on teachingbr / experience.br /
- Minimum of two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years ofbr / age.br /
- Some supervisory experience in a child care program or related field of work./p
