The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Strategic Programs team. This internship provides hands-on experience in the planning and coordination of educational programs and industry initiatives across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to projects that drive innovation in uncrewed systems, robotics, and autonomy.

The Opportunity

AUVSI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting the planning and coordination of educational programs and industry initiatives across departments. You’ll assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programming, including in-person and virtual events, webinars, and briefings while developing valuable project management and communication skills. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to initiatives that drive innovation in uncrewed systems, robotics, and autonomy.

    You will be responsible for…
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure timely updates to speaker rosters, program agendas, and event deliverables.
  • Manage administrative functions such as database entry, content tracking, and report generation.
  • Help maintain and improve the speaker database in NetForum, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Contribute to project management efforts by updating trackers, assisting with task coordination, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support other duties and special projects as assigned, including industry engagement and cross-functional tasks aligned with strategic priorities.
    Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) or equivalent experience in event coordination, educational programming, communications, or project support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Preferred but not required:
  • Exposure to technical, scientific, or policy-focused content, with ability to quickly learn and communicate complex topics.
  • Familiarity with event or project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience with associations, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations is a plus..
