We are seeking an empathetic and motivated School Social Worker to join our team near Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will provide support to students, fostering a nurturing school environment and addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our SPED and at risk students.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and support.
- Connect families with community resources and services.
- Develop and lead programs to enhance social and emotional learning.
- Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Social Work (MSW) or related field.
- MI State licensure as a School Social Worker.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
