Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and passionate Project Mentors to guide high school students and undergrads
in developing and completing academic or research projects in specific fields. These projects are
critical components of the students’ university applications, showcasing their skills, creativity, and
potential. Mentors will work 1-to-1 or group sessions with students, tailoring their guidance to meet
the students’ unique needs and goals.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students to conceptualize, plan, and execute a project in their
field of interest (e.g., STEM, Humanities, Arts, Business, or Social Sciences).
- Provide expert guidance in research methodology, project design, and effective presentation
of results.
- Assist students in aligning their projects with the requirements and expectations of top
university admissions committees.
- Offer constructive feedback to refine and enhance the quality of the student’s work.
- Maintain clear communication with students to monitor progress, adjust goals, and ensure
project completion within deadlines.
- Document and report on the student’s progress to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant field from a Top 50 university (as ranked by QS
World University Rankings, Times Higher Education, or similar global rankings).
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in the field you wish to mentor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire
students.
- Experience mentoring high school or college students is preferred.
- Familiarity with university admissions processes, particularly for top-tier institutions, is an
asset.
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying schedules based on student needs and
progress.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours vary depending on student assignments and project timelines. Most mentors work up to 20-25 hours with one student throughout the academic school year. Mentors also give webinar and D-Lab sessions which consist of group project-based work.
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
