At Solterra Academy, we specialize in comprehensive special education for students ages 5 to 22 with a wide range of needs—including emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and learning challenges. We pride ourselves on a high staff-to-student ratio, a collaborative culture, and individualized support for every student.
This per diem position is ideal for PTs looking for 1–2 days per week of impactful, hands-on work between June 30 – August 1, 2025. Hours are flexible between 8:00 AM–1:30 PM, so you can build a schedule that works for you.
- What You'll Do
- Provide direct physical therapy services in a therapeutic school environment
- Work closely with teachers, clinicians, and support staff to ensure student success
- Write and implement SMART IEP goals and progress reports
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to improve gross motor skills
- Support students’ development in alignment with their IEPs—remotely when needed
- Collaborate with families to build home-based strategies and maintain open communication

- Requirements
- State of Connecticut Department of Public Health licensure in Physical Therapy required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience with children required. Experience with children exhibiting severe behaviors strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Solterra Academy).
- Certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention required with the first training course provided after hire date and maintained throughout employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
