Billing & Collections Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Billing & Collections Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in billing processes, accounts receivable, and financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities Accurately code, apply, and reconcile cash receipts from lockbox, ACH, wire, and e-bill payments. Identify correct accounts and payment types for incoming cash; ensure all supporting documentation is organized and accessible. Proactively research, investigate, and follow up on outstanding insurance claims and denied payments. Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, Treasury, Reimbursement Management, and General Ledger teams. Work within multiple AR systems, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation across entities. Respond to payment status requests and provide supporting documentation for audits or client follow-ups. Handle split payments across multiple invoices, requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skill. Adapt and contribute to evolving systems and process improvements tied to ongoing system implementations.
Preferred Profile Hands-on experience with insurance billing, claim reconciliation, and healthcare AR processes. Familiarity with medical payment cycles and insurance reimbursement behavior. Strong organizational and research skills; ability to work independently in a remote setting. Maturity, accountability, and a detail oriented presence when collaborating across teams.
