Reports To: Director of Behavioral Health

Hours: (Evening Shift)

Nonexempt: Non-Exempt (hourly)

About this Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health Services team as a Unit Supervisor. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Vice President/General Manager, Director, and interdisciplinary team members to provide critical support for physicians, nurses, and allied health providers across both hub and client sites. As a Unit Supervisor, you will oversee multiple operational functions, including staff training, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient assessments. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of behavioral health services, supporting our mission of providing high-quality care to those in need.

Essential Responsibilities
? Assist the Director in developing goals and objectives for the Avel eCare Behavioral Health service and ensuring the adherence to operating policies and procedures.
? Participate in budget planning and monitor operational activities to meet cost and performance objectives.
? Maintain consistent communication with staff, providing timely feedback and addressing performance issues as necessary.
? Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels, ensuring office efficiency and flexibility for weekend, off-shift, and holiday coverage.
? Lead and mentor staff by sharing knowledge, conducting staff orientation and ongoing development programs, and maintaining high clinical competency.
? Conduct staff performance evaluations and assist in corrective action planning when needed.
? Facilitate recruitment and retention efforts to build a competent, motivated, and satisfied workforce.
? Perform chart audits, data collection, and analyze trends to improve operations and patient outcomes.
? Provide support for patient assessments and service recovery, addressing patient and family concerns.
? Promote the Avel eCare Behavioral Health program through presentations and other initiatives when requested.
? Ensure compliance with JCAHO and other surveying organization requirements, including mandatory in-services and preparation activities.

Required Qualifications
? Education/Experience:
? Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program (preferred), or an approved nursing program.
? Bachelor?s degree in nursing (preferred).
? 3?5 years of behavioral health experience.
? Previous management experience (preferred).
? Licensure/Certification:
? Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in one unrestricted state is required.
? RN licensure within the states that eCare Behavioral Health provides service must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
? Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (preferred).
? Membership in a professional organization (preferred).
? Valid driver?s license and insurability by Avel?s automobile liability insurance carrier required.
? Competencies:

? Strong customer focus and ability to build strong relationships.
? Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
? Functional technical expertise in nursing and leadership.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
? The role requires occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
? Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
? Exposure to communicable diseases is possible in a healthcare environment.
? The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
