Forensic Accountant Needed – Patent Damages Expert for Federal IP Case

We are seeking an experienced forensic accountant with a strong background in patent infringement litigation and IP damages to assist in a federal lawsuit (K v. D) currently pending in the District of Massachusetts.

You’ll support our legal team and collaborate with an out-of-state expert to develop a compelling damages model based on our patented forecasting technology (U.S. Patent No.).

Responsibilities:

Analyze financial data and public disclosures to calculate:

Reasonable royalty models

Lost profits

Unjust enrichment (if applicable)

Prepare an independent damages report aligned with Georgia-Pacific factors.

Assist with interrogatory responses, document analysis, and trial exhibits.

Be available for deposition and/or live testimony during the Q1 2026 trial window (transportation provided if needed).

Ideal Qualifications:

CPA or CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) preferred.

Prior experience testifying in IP or patent litigation.

Familiarity with SaaS pricing, software tools, or analytics is a plus.

Strong written communication — must be able to write a defensible expert report.

U.S.-based (Boston preferred but remote acceptable).

Timeline:

Light discovery support in August 2025

Full trial preparation ramp-up in Fall 2025

Trial window: Q1 2026
