Position Overview:
Our elementary school in Orange, NJ is seeking a dedicated and licensed Certified School Nurses to join our elementary school team for the 2025–2026 academic year. These full-time, onsite positions play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our students.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health services and first aid to students and staff.
- Manage student health records and ensure compliance with immunization and health screening requirements.
- Administer medications and develop care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and community providers to support student wellness.
- Promote a healthy school environment through health education and prevention initiatives.
- Respond to health emergencies and participate in crisis response planning.
- Qualifications:
- Active NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current NJ School Nurse Certification – REQUIRED
- Previous school-based nursing experience is required
- Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with school teams
- Preferred Traits:
- Compassionate and student-centered
- Skilled in managing a broad range of health concerns in a school setting
- Familiar with health regulations and requirements in New Jersey schools
