State Coordinator
The Young People’s Alliance is a bipartisan, youth-led organization empowering young people to save the American Dream. We organize our generation and advocate for policy on emerging technologies' (like AI) impact on economic opportunity, affordability, and community.
We are hiring highly-talented, part-time State Coordinators in California, Michigan, and North Carolina (Research-Triangle area preferred). State Coordinators will sit at the center of our American Dream campaign, coordinating between student organizers, policymakers, and civil society to build an effective movement that changes policy and puts young people at the center of political discourse.
Pay: $500/week
Time commitment: 15-20 hours/week

- Responsibilities
- Managing a team of paid coaches, paid students, and volunteers on campuses.
- Growing YPA's grassroots membership and presence.
- Planning and managing engaging events and opportunities for members to make their voices heard.
- Create robust relationships with state-level policymakers and organizations to create partnerships and pass policy.
- Building YPA's brand in your state by coordinating media coverage of YPA campaigns and members.
Skills:
The ideal applicant has management experience and campus organizing experience, has background knowledge about politics and policy, is responsive over text and independently motivated, is detail-oriented, is a people person, is comfortable finding common ground with people across different ideologies and backgrounds, and has a non-stop drive to build young people's political power.
