Brand Voice & Messaging Specialist for DIY Solar eCommerce
We run an established eCommerce company in the solar/home improvement space and are looking for a brand voice + messaging specialist to help us reposition our website.
Currently, our site leans heavily on Google Shopping and reads more like a product catalog. We're ready to evolve it into a trusted, content-driven platform — similar in feel to UnboundSolar.com — that helps DIY solar customers and installers make confident buying decisions.
What You'll Do:
Develop a brand tone and messaging guide that reflects authority, clarity, and accessibility for homeowners and contractors doing solar installs
Rewrite our homepage copy and several key category pages (e.g., solar panels, inverters, off-grid kits) using that tone
Create reusable content templates for future product and collection page rewrites
Recommend improvements to key trust-building elements like FAQs and our quote request flow
✅ Ideal Candidate:
Experience developing brand voice for eCommerce or technical/DTC product sites
Comfortable writing for a DIY-savvy audience with light-to-medium technical expectations (solar experience is a plus, but not required)
Clear grasp of conversion copywriting for homepages, collection pages, and CTAs
Can structure copy for humans and search (basic SEO best practices)
