Hardware Security Module (HSM) Modernization Consultant, Remote Role, 2 Years Contract
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the consolidation and modernization of HSM infrastructure.
- Work hands-on with Thales and FutureX HSMs, including integration, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to migrate from legacy HSMs to a unified platform.
- Support Client's proprietary master key management application that interfaces with the HSMs.
- Stay informed on quantum computing implications for cryptographic systems and contribute to future-proofing strategies.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices throughout the engagement.
- Qualifications:
- 5 9+ years of experience working with HSMs, cryptographic key management, or secure infrastructure.
- Deep expertise with Thales and/or FutureX HSMs.
- Familiarity with the full HSM lifecycle: procurement, deployment, key management, compliance, and decommissioning.
- Understanding of quantum-safe cryptography concepts is a strong plus.
- Experience in financial services or payment processing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
