Network Engineer - Junior
Job Purpose:
A Network Security Design Engineer – Intermediate is responsible for many different aspects of the company’s infrastructure, system designs, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices. Coordinates with the manager all tasks at hand, giving recommendations on how to solve complex problems and implementing new solutions. Work closely with other department associates to complete prioritized, assigned tasks consistent with the company values.
- Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the enterprise systems
- Responsible for Tier 3 issues
- Determine, test, and deploy the latest technologies that improve the overall security
- Use industry standards to ensure our security platforms are hardened
- Write procedures for the security team and ensure adherence
- A passion for staying up to date with the latest updates about security threats and solutions
- Ensure detailed security diagrams are maintained
- Work with various teams to ensure their applications and technologies are secure
- Requirements:
- Typically has a 4-year academic degree, knowledge of Network Security, and 2+ years of practical work experience.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal assistance
- Expert working knowledge of a broad range of current IT platforms and technologies
- Experience correlating unstructured data across various logs and other inputs.
- Work off hours to support as needed
Licensure/Certification:
An associate-level certification (Cisco CCENT, Security+, Palo Alto PCCSA, etc.) is
required within two years in the role or another approved IT certificate.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
