Director of Sustainability - ESG

    Description:
  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive ESG strategy reflecting the company’s sustainability goals
  • Oversee ESG-related reporting and disclosures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and collaborate with external partners to enhance sustainability efforts
  • Manage sustainability initiatives to reduce the hotel’s environmental impact
  • Integrate sustainability into the guest experience and lead educational campaigns
  • Conduct ESG risk assessments and benchmarking of sustainability performance
  • Lead, mentor, and build a team of sustainability professionals
  • Identify and implement innovative sustainability technologies and practices
    Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and industry standards specific to the hospitality sector.
  • Proven experience in implementing sustainable programs and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry’s role in environmental stewardship.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive cross-functional sustainability initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and external partners.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and sustainability practices within the hospitality industry.
