SUMMARY OF ROLE: The In-House Accountant (Part-time, Hourly) will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, costs variance, company audits, compliance, and risk management. They will collaborate with the CEO to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as an In-House Accountant in the healthcare field.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including recording all transactions (sales, purchases, income, payments).
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare key financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to management.
  • Audit Support: Perform internal audits and assist with external audits.
    Specific Tasks:
  • Review financial statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  • Analyze cost estimates for services and recommend cost-effective plans.
  • Manage company balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Meet reporting deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests from management and outside sources.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Analyze budgets and create expense reports.
  • Examine tax policies and complete tax payments and returns.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Manage cash flow, investment activities, and financial risk management.
  • Manage bank and other financing relationships.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of strategic decisions.
  • Present financial reports and analysis to CEO.
    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years as an In-House Accountant in the healthcare field (REQUIRED).
  • CPA, accounting or equivalent certification (REQUIRED).
  • 10+ years of overall experience in finance, accounting and/or tax preparation.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting functions and auditing.
  • Experience in managing budget processes.
  • Must have a solid understanding of capital management.
  • Proficiency in cash flow analysis and cost variance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate and thorough
  • Comfortable dealing with large volumes of complex data
