Human Resources Assistant (Entry Level)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to join our growing HR team. This entry-level position is a critical support role designed to enhance our HR operations with a primary focus on recruiting activities. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
· Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) to maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate pipelines.
· Develop, post, and manage job listings across various platforms.
· Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications, availability, and cultural fit.
· Administer pre-employment assessments, including typing and skills tests for office roles.
· Schedule interviews with hiring managers and coordinate logistics.
· Perform reference checks and document findings.
· Track recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to the HR Manager.
HR Administrative Support
· Process incoming HR mail, including tax notices, unemployment claims, and garnishments, ensuring timely routing to the appropriate parties.
· Over time, develop proficiency in addressing and resolving mail-related inquiries independently.
· Assist with internal audits related to employee records, payroll, and compliance.
· Support the coordination and execution of HR events such as open enrollment, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
· Perform regular audits of employee files to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
· Collaborate with the HR team on process improvement initiatives.
· Assist with employee relations activities under the guidance of senior HR staff.
Qualifications
· Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
· Currently enrolled in or planning to pursue a degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
· Prior experience in an administrative or customer-facing role preferred but not required.
· Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
· Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation.
· Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to new challenges.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn HRIS and payroll software.
· Proactive approach to problem-solving with sound judgment and follow-through.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
