    Responsibilities
  • Communicate regularly with students and families to understand their goals and needs
  • Provide comprehensive counseling, including:
  • 60-minute advising sessions via Zoom
  • Track Final date to receive applicationss and milestones
  • Assign tasks to maximize success
  • Respond to inquiries from students and parents
  • Manage cohorts of 5-10 medical school, pre-med, and BS/MD applicants
  • Offer personalized advising based on each student’s background and goals
  • Conduct research to support advising sessions and provide resources
  • Guide students in exploring and researching college options
  • Ensure advice is strategic and up-to-date with admissions trends
  • Mentor students in personal statement and essay writing, providing actionable feedback
  • Assist with interview preparation
  • Participate in biweekly meetings with other coaches
  • Contribute as an reader in Committee Review
  • Maintain communication with Program and Client Success Directors about student progress
    Qualifications
  • Experience in US medical school admissions or related advising is preferred; strong pre-med advising or health professions experience considered
  • Graduated from or worked at a top-ranked medical school or undergraduate institution (top 50)
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. medical school admissions, including AMCAS/AACOMAS, secondary applications, MCAT, interviews, and holistic review
  • Understanding of U.S. undergraduate and medical education landscape
  • Ability to support students through entire application cycle
  • Availability during after-school hours and weekends, with flexibility for international students during peak periods
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
