Role Description
This position is a strategic product line owner in the company and is responsible for overall growth and profitability of assigned product lines (examples: credit, debit, fraud, digital).
Design the product vision and cultivate strategies
Conduct technical analysis and execution
Monitor product compliance and mandates
Create business plans and deliver sales support to drive profitability
Develop and manage budget for each assigned product and associated marketing campaigns
Gather and prioritize product, market drivers, industry trends, customer requirements
Launch new business and technical solutions to deliver winning payment solutions
Day in the Life:
Create, manage, and implement an annual strategic plan, marketing plan, and budget
Forecast line revenue and profitability by gathering and analyzing internal capabilities, market demand, and external competitive information
Manage and direct development of all product commercialization duties
Partner with Marketing Services to create advertising and promotional materials
Partner with member credit unions for market evaluation, research, surveys, focus groups, and pilot testing
Be an expert on market trends affecting solution offerings
Create and publish thought leadership regarding trends and usage of assigned product lines
Ensure effective communication of pertinent information to internal staff and external member-owners
Lead and participate in meetings to support executive committees
Maintain current knowledge of the latest industry trends
Communicate and update solution performance information to senior leadership
Represent and support Velera personnel at various meetings and functions
Direct the development of product documentation, procedures, training, and marketing materials
Conduct technical analysis and determine technical product direction
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Combined seven (7) years of experience in product management, agile project management, product marketing, technical product implementations, and/or business systems analysis supporting technical products required
A minimum of two (2) years in product management required
Experience with product budgeting and forecasting required
Experience with the financial, credit union industry and core or account processing required
