Retention/Lifecycle Marketing Specialist

Tasks
- Working closely with the CEO and taking responsibility for all user retention and lifecycle marketing activities
- Continuous improvement upon existing onboarding, engagement, and reactivation flows
- Organizing day-to-day lifecycle campaigns and ensuring a smooth user journey
- Supporting various projects, e.g. in the development of retention-focused features or personalized messaging
- Supervising the implementation of customer retention initiatives
- Regular quality assurance of user journeys & brainstorming for improvements
- Supporting the management in the legal area, e.g. GDPR compliance for messaging
- Development and maintenance of lifecycle campaign calendars and user journey maps
- Definition of segmentation, user stories, and messaging requirements
- Collaboration with UX/UI designers for an optimal user experience
- Interface between product, development, design, marketing, and management
- Conducting cohort, funnel, and retention analyses
- Identification of drop-off points, churn drivers, and opportunities to boost engagement
- Creation and prioritization of campaign backlogs and automation workflows
- Management of email, push notification, and in-app messaging rollouts
- Optimization of internal processes and procedures (e.g., segmentation, automation, A/B testing)
- Development and maintenance of lifecycle playbooks and SOPs
- Collaboration with customer support to analyze and resolve churn-related issues
- Monitoring retention, engagement, and other lifecycle KPIs
- Introduction and maintenance of automation and CRM tools
- Coordination with external service providers or partners (e.g. CRM or ESP providers)
- Analysis of user behavior (e.g., via Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Firebase)
- Creation and presentation of retention reports and dashboards
- Measurement and optimization of KPIs (e.g., Retention, Churn, Engagement)
- A/B testing to validate campaign effectiveness
- Close coordination with management on strategy and goals
- Organization and management of campaign planning meetings
- Communication with stakeholders on status, risks, and milestones
- Translation of business goals into actionable retention and engagement strategies
- Monitoring and management of messaging compliance (e.g., unsubscribe management)
- Planning and executing reactivation strategies for lapsed users
- Management of customer feedback loops and continuous improvement cycles
- Participation in the monetization strategy (e.g., upsells, renewals)
- Analysis of growth opportunities and expansion into new retention channels
- Development of user engagement and loyalty measures
- Collaboration with marketing for campaigns and product launches
We're looking for someone with:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention-focused role (app experience is an advantage)
- Bachelor's Degree in a marketing, business, or data-related field preferred
- Great command of English, German or Russian is considered a plus
