This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, flexible 8 continuous hours between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, Marysville, CA, USA, with 1-hour unpaid break
  • 40 hours per week
  • Client timezone: Pacific

Client Overview:

They’re looking for a CPA-certified accountant to play a key role in managing client accounts, clearing backlogs, and improving processes. This fully remote role offers hands-on accounting work, from transactions to financial statements, with the support of a collaborative team and direct access to leadership.


Responsibilities:
  • Process and categorize daily transactions across multiple client accounts using QuickBooks Online
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and ensure proper account classifications
  • Analyze financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Lead catch-up projects to efficiently clear client backlogs
  • Apply advanced accounting principles to ensure proper expense categorization and reporting
  • Maintain well-organized digital records using Google Drive and Canopy Tax
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and client service
  • Coordinate with the Team Lead/Manager to help refine and standardize internal processes
  • Work independently and/or in tandem with a Bookkeeper when necessary


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Active CPA certification (US or international equivalent)
  • 3+ years of mid- to senior-level accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online and cloud-based accounting tools
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Previous experience working with US-based clients and familiarity with American accounting standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research solutions independently
  • Proficient in Google Suite and digital workflow tools
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote, team-based environment
