Role Summary

The Metabolic Clinical Lead will play a critical role in shaping the clinical strategy and driving the clinical direction of Signos. This experienced healthcare professional will be responsible for leading and managing clinical trials, providing clinical expertise to support product evolution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based solutions to address metabolic health and obesity. The Metabolic Clinical Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical insights into impactful product features and strategies, ultimately helping Signos achieve its mission of improving the health of millions.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Strategy and Leadership:
    • Define and lead the clinical strategy for Signos in the area of metabolic health and weight management, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
    • Serve as the internal clinical expert on all aspects of overweight, obesity care, weight management, and metabolic health.
    • Monitor and evaluate new clinical and industry developments to inform clinical strategy.
    • Liaise with clinical advisory groups and external scientific experts.
    • Act as a strong advocate for patient empowerment through education and access.
  • Clinical Trial Management:
    • Lead the design, planning, and execution of clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Signos products and services.
    • Collaborate with internal research teams and external advisors on clinical research efforts.
    • Ensure all clinical trial activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, laws, guidance, and ethical standards.
    • Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical trial results.
    • Present clinical trial findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Product Evolution and Support:
    • Provide clinical input into product development, design, marketing, and strategy to ensure products are clinically sound and effective.
    • Partner with Product, Design, and Innovation teams to develop new product offerings, features, and services for Signos users.
    • Evaluate new offerings, partnerships, and corporate development opportunities from a clinical perspective.
    • Optimize Signos user and provider experience by providing clinical guidance on patient intake questions, clinical guidelines, and protocols.
    • Serve as a clinical champion for Signos’ offerings with affiliated provider groups, if applicable.
    • Support the creation of materials for the board and other key stakeholders, providing clinical context and insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Operations.
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and thought leaders in the field of metabolic health.
    • Act as an advocate for both patients and providers interacting with the Signos platform.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience directly in the metabolic health disease state
  • Medical training and certification required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of post-graduate training direct patient care experience, residency completion required.
  • Prior experience in designing and conducting clinical research or trials.
  • Prior experience working with product managers and product designers.
  • Strong understanding of cardiometabolic medicine and care delivery innovation.
  • Familiarity with interpreting and applying medical guidelines and understanding risk management concepts.
  • Adept at mastering new systems (technology) to communicate and execute deliverables.
  • Comfort with using data and analysis to drive decision-making.
  • Strong literature search and communication skills, including writing.
  • Strong desire to innovate and design new ways of delivering care to provide high-quality care at scale.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Passion for improving patient care and outcomes in the field of metabolic health and obesity.
