What you will do:
The RMD is responsible for growing PMI’s engagement across the region and for delivering positive values to individuals, organizations, and societies.
As a member of the Senior Leadership team of PMI the Regional Managing Director (RMD) will;
• Build and lead high-performing teams that execute PMI strategy effectively
• •Be a respected Mentor and role model that embodies PMI values. Represent PMI as a values-driven leader internally and externally
• Prioritize high-impact regional initiatives to maximize sustainable outcomes and growth for the organization, its members, partners and the project management profession.
• •Develop strategic relationships across PMI functions, regions, our community and our stakeholders.
• •Serve as thought leader representing PMI at conferences and industry events
• •Engage local PMI ecosystem including chapters and members while modeling PMI values globally
• •Grow strategic partnerships by developing, fostering, and sustaining executive relationships with partners, collaborators, and vendors.
What you will bring to the role:
Preferred - Degree in a field such as Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Political Science or equivalent. Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar is a plus.
• A minimum of 5+ years of P&L responsibility.
• Must have a track record of successfully running diverse teams and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in roles with a heavy focus on advocacy, account planning and management, relationship building, leadership, coaching and mentoring.
• Working experience within a globally diverse and distributed organization. Work experience across the Europe region, ideally living and working experience in multiple countries.
• Successful advocacy with governments, and corporations and experience with complex negotiations and long cycle sales.
• Entrepreneurial leader with startup mentality, resourcefulness, and ability to inspire teams
• Accomplished public speaker comfortable presenting to senior global audiences in various settings
• High integrity with unquestionable ethical standards
• Strategic prioritization focusing teams on high-value initiatives with maximum ROI
• Ability and willingness to become thoroughly familiar with PMI including thorough knowledge of project management profession, PMI strategy, solutions, and capabilities to build credibility with stakeholders
• Travel and Physical Requirements:
• Global and local travel up to 40% including weekends/holidays; requires physical fitness for travel demands
