About the Role:
As an Accounting Manager, you'll be a key player in transforming accounting practices for our small business clients. You'll lead a team of 3-4 bookkeepers, fostering their growth through training, development, and ongoing feedback. A significant part of this role involves presenting financial data directly to clients, directly influencing their success. This position offers a unique path for experienced accounting professionals to take on leadership responsibilities and directly impact client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines.
- Lead and coach a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance and support.
- Review financial reports and analyze data to identify trends and insights.
- Communicate with clients to address tax questions and provide financial guidance.
- Represent the company and present financial information to clients in meetings.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to improve processes and client service.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a public accounting firm (2 years minimum).
- Active CPA or EA license is required.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (3 years minimum).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to mentor and support team growth.
- Strong technical accounting and critical thinking abilities.
- Comfortable advising clients on basic tax implications.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using various software tools.
- A genuine interest in helping others and going the extra mile.
- Confidence in accounting skills with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing tasks.
