Qualifications Job description: The OEM Connected Vehicle Team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to Uconnect customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems. We are seeking candidates that will be responsible for Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) development, customer functional objectives target setting, and feature test plan creation. The Feature Specialist will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning and maintaining functional objective library, creating test plans and procedures, supporting tech club, and working alongside the multi-functional teams to develop new features within their domain. The Feature Specialist also support the Platform Engineers in triaging issues found on vehicle that fall into their domain as well as support any required ride and drive events. They will define and describe both functional and dysfunctional behavior, perform appropriate risk analysis (HARA) and be responsible for writing end-to-end test plans. The specialist will also lead benchmarking activities for their domain. Domain Areas: FOTA, Vehicle Access/Start, Vehicle Security/Theft, Remote Operations, Regulatory/Safety, Connected EV. Key responsibilities: You will work as a Core feature owner/CFO library owner/author Test Plan and Procedure creator & owner Support issue resolution, triage, testing, for their specific domain You will be leading benchmarking! You will lead the effort technically! Required Skills Basic Qualifications: 5-12 years of engineering experience in automotive industry with Strong understanding of operational architecture, defining use cases, vehicle and software life cycle Past experience leading Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) development Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing Strong desire to understand customer wants and vehicle development program Proven communication skills (written and oral) Strategic problem solver Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning Three years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent Previous experience in feature design, system design or integration Design for Six Sigma Green Belt Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university Expected salary : Location : Auburn Hills, MI Apply Job!
