We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Remote Bookkeeper will be responsible for all aspects of financial management for the organization, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and budget planning. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. This is a remote position, allowing for a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for SHA, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and receipts.
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budget planning and forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all financial records.
- Keep up-to-date records of financial transactions and maintain organized and secure filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to financial management from supervisors and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks, preferred.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of state and federal regulations related to financial management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
