Field Service Technician, Remote: Texas, Heil Environmental

Primarily responsible for providing or coordinating equipment start-ups, demonstration, and promotional services to customers in the form of new and existing equipment demonstrations and technical service functions; including troubleshooting equipment via telephone, general and technical information, planning and conducting training, and performing field service work assisting customers with problems associated with these areas. Also includes reports on warranty and quality of all products manufactured by Environmental Solutions Group (ESG). Requires in-depth product knowledge of all Marathon product offerings with willingness to learn other ESG product offerings as jobs arise. Demonstration/Promotional Responsibilities include being recognized as the company expert in operation and demonstration of ESG’s complete portfolio of new and existing Heil, Marathon, 3rd Eye, Bayne, and Curotto products to showcase equipment features and benefits. Works nationwide with RMs, KAMs, Dealers and End-users to demonstrate equipment. Supports Sales department with operation, management and maintenance of all equipment. Job focus is to help expose dealers and consumers to ESG Equipment brands. Travel to and attendance of key consumer and dealer events throughout the year. Technical Service Responsibilities include receiving customer inquiries and resolving problems, troubleshooting via telephone, repairing products in the field, revising and modifying engineering designs including PLC/controller programming, inspecting products at various production stages, completing periodic reports, verifying accounting reports for Service Department accounts, driving company and personal vehicles and using airlines for field service visits, assisting customers with installations, training, troubleshooting, lifting parts up to 40 pounds. Requires willingness and ability to travel up to 98% of the time, valid driver’s license and credit card. Attendance at work during regular hours or other schedules as assigned is essential. Other functions include attending training sessions, working with Engineering on R&D, attending trade shows and customer events. Job specifications include minimum 2-year Technical School, College or equivalent experience, ability to understand arithmetic, speak and write clearly, understand hydraulic and electrical principles, read blueprints and schematics, technical knowledge of company parts and products, physical requirements include walking/standing 50%, sitting 50%, lifting up to 40 pounds 10%, repetitive stooping, bending and crouching 10%, use of hands, arms and feet for lifting and driving, ability to hear and follow instructions, visually observe essential functions, color and depth perception necessary, ability to perform in office and plant environments with dust, fumes, noise and temperature fluctuations. Knowledge, skills and abilities include maintaining high ethical and work standards, clear communication, teamwork, continual improvement and problem resolution, accountability for projects and duties.
