Job Summary
Prime Physicians is seeking a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in occupational health, adult primary care, or military flight medicine to support medical case management and decision-making for Guard Medical Units and Air Force recruiters. This role involves making recommendations in accordance with Air Force policy and guidance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Receive and assess patient information from Guard Medical Units or Air Force recruiters.
- Make clinical decisions and recommendations for closing medical cases.
- Manage various case types, including:
- Line of duty determinations
- Military retention or accession
- Commissioning evaluations
- Fly status cases
- Incapacitation pay assessments
- Convalescent leave evaluations
- Congressional inquiries
- Board for Correction of Military Records cases
- Finalize disposition of cases or escalate to a higher authority when necessary. Qualifications
- Must have an active, unrestricted NP/PA license in the United States.
- Prior experience in occupational health and/or adult primary care (e.g., family medicine, flight medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine).
- Preference will be given to candidates with Aerospace Medicine Primary Certification.
- Ability to interpret and apply Air Force policies and guidance in making clinical decisions.
- Strong case management and clinical documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Guard Medical Units and recruiters.
- Capable of independently managing cases involving medical retention, accessions, or readiness.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Familiarity with medical review standards and documentation protocols
