Job Summary

Prime Physicians is seeking a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in occupational health, adult primary care, or military flight medicine to support medical case management and decision-making for Guard Medical Units and Air Force recruiters. This role involves making recommendations in accordance with Air Force policy and guidance.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and assess patient information from Guard Medical Units or Air Force recruiters.
  • Make clinical decisions and recommendations for closing medical cases.
  • Manage various case types, including:
  • Line of duty determinations
  • Military retention or accession
  • Commissioning evaluations
  • Fly status cases
  • Incapacitation pay assessments
  • Convalescent leave evaluations
  • Congressional inquiries
  • Board for Correction of Military Records cases
  • Finalize disposition of cases or escalate to a higher authority when necessary.
  • Qualifications
  • Must have an active, unrestricted NP/PA license in the United States.
  • Prior experience in occupational health and/or adult primary care (e.g., family medicine, flight medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine).
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Aerospace Medicine Primary Certification.
  • Ability to interpret and apply Air Force policies and guidance in making clinical decisions.
  • Strong case management and clinical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Guard Medical Units and recruiters.
  • Capable of independently managing cases involving medical retention, accessions, or readiness.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Familiarity with medical review standards and documentation protocols
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
