Technical Assistance Project SME
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Subject Matter Expert to join our workforce project team. In this role, you will provide expert knowledge, training and technical assistance for a federal health program including work outcomes under the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA) Section 304 requirements and support other related federal contract and grant work as needed.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead contractor pool of SMEs in design and development of TTA strategy and implementation
- Design and facilitate virtual training and peer learning opportunities for state TANF programs
- Develop technical guidance on work outcomes data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Support integration of state data systems with workforce partners
- Create tools and resources for outcomes measurement and program improvement
- Provide coaching to pilot sites implementing new reporting requirements
- Develop content for TA products (fact sheets, toolkits, presentations, FAQs, etc.)
- Support in-person, virtual, or hybrid training/meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with TANF and related workforce programs and demonstrated TANF subject matter expertise
- Experience supporting state TANF agencies
- Strong knowledge of state human services data systems
- Experience developing state agency partnerships
- 3+ years developing and delivering technical assistance to grantees or stakeholders including development of written materials, providing 1:1 coaching, and cohort-based or large group training
- Experience working with the HHS Office of Family Assistance (OFA) staff preferred
- Skills:
- Superior writing and presentation skills
- Data analysis and visualization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and fully remote environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to utilize adult learning principles to design, develop and facilitate training
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and team members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, knowledge of Smartsheet preferred
- Flexibility to work surge hours as required
Job Type: Full-Time, contingent upon contract award
Location: Remote, must be authorized to work in the United States. Some domestic travel required.
