Marketing & Events Intern - Fall 2025 (FEDERAL WORK STUDY ONLY)
The Indianapolis Propylaeum, located in a historic home at 14th and Delaware Street (15 minutes south of Butler University), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to connecting and celebrating women through leadership, arts, and community. Since 1888, we’ve provided a welcoming space for women to gather, grow, and inspire—while preserving our historic home and offering cultural programs for the Indianapolis community.
We are seeking a Marketing & Events Intern to assist with a range of marketing, communications, and event initiatives. This role offers valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our efforts in brand development, community engagement, and public programming. If desired, this internship can be structured to qualify for credit from either Butler’s Lacy School of Business or the College of Communication. Federal Work Study (FWS) is a MUST. Key Responsibilities
Support email, blog, and social media campaigns
Create content and videos to promote events and fundraising
Track analytics and assist during programs and campaigns
Qualifications
Experience in digital marketing and social media
Strong communication and writing skills
Creative, proactive, and organized
Interest in women’s leadership, arts, or historic preservation
Must be a current Butler student with Federal Work Study eligibility
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, sit, climb stairs, and walk around the facility
Frequently required to work on a computer
Occasionally required to use force to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Structure:
Flexible weekly hours (typically around 10–18 per week)
Pay rate: $13/hr.
Schedule can be adjusted to fit your class and activity commitments
Business casual dress
Primarily in-person, with occasional remote work opportunities
