Senior Production Designer

The Senior Production Designer is responsible for handling the final stages of design projects and mass design production for hundreds of products for ecommerce. You’ll fine-tune the work of our graphic designers, ensuring that they are ready to export. You’ll work closely with our art directors, graphic designers, creative project managers, and copywriters. You must be both technical savvy and creative with exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills. You’ll be working within many client’s brand and style guidelines which you need to maintain and understand thoroughly. You’ll have the anatomy to implement production best practices and processes as you see fit for maximum output. You’ll be an essential team member of our growing creative team.

Core Responsibilities / Job Duties

  • Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, copywriters, creative project managers, and other team members
  • Prepare final, “press-ready” files based on supplied specifications for several types of digital assets
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation
  • Package and prepare files for mass production for all marketplaces
  • Create files and presentations for art directors and clients to review
  • Prepare images for online and mobile applications
  • Communicate your design decisions clearly and concisely
  • Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and other artwork
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise with creative team members
  • Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software
  • Key skills and areas for development, many of which support advancement

  • Familiar withFigma pluginsto speed up production workflows.
  • Strong eye foralignment, spacing, and pixel-perfect detailingusing Figma’s design tools and inspection modes.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design program in directly related field of study
  • Experience 4+ years
  • Portfolio showcasing strong production design skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Have a solid knowledge of design and with software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Google Office
  • Experience overseeing and mentoring junior staff
  • Amazon (or marketplace equivalent) experience preferred but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard programs such as Adobe CS (XD, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Handles multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Has strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Should be process-oriented self-starters
  • Must stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education
