Accountant - Captive Insurance
- Description:
- Manage financial and regulatory affairs of captive insurance companies
- Deliver high quality financial and regulatory reports
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns
- Conduct client communications and audits
- Attend client Board meetings and liaise with third party providers
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus but not required
- 2+ years financial accounting experience; direct captive management experience a plus; internships considered for entry level
- Insurance accounting and auditing experience preferred
- Experience with Excel and financial accounting/general ledger software
- Ability to work effectively in team or individually; attention to detail and prioritization skills essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically as needed
