The Senior Quality & Consumer Health Informaticist serves as a critical liaison between Information Services, Quality/Regulatory, Data Science, and Patient Engagement teams to drive excellence in clinical informatics, compliance reporting, and consumer-facing health technologies. This role supports regulatory and quality reporting, develops robust reports, data analytics and dashboards, and enhances patient access and engagement systems such as the Patient Portal and Referral Management platforms. With a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical workflows, interoperability, and informatics tools, this position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance, improving performance measures, and supporting innovation in healthcare delivery. This senior-level position also collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to monitor regulatory updates, build and maintain reporting infrastructure, and champion user-centered informatics solutions.

    Required Qualifications:
  • Manage relationships with trust, honesty, respect, and integrity.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in clinical informatics, regulatory reporting, or health IT.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, Public Health, or equivalent level of experience
  • Experience with patient portals, referral workflows, and interoperability frameworks (CommonWell, CareQuality) and Secure Messaging.
  • Strong experience with Cerner, Epic or similar EHR systems (including quality dashboards, regulatory measures, and patient engagement tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Certification in Cerner or Epic informatics or reporting modules.
  • Familiarity with analytic tools such as Discern Analytics, Health Data Intelligence, and Business Object
  • Proficiency in CCL, and data visualization/reporting tools.
  • Deep understanding of CMS, MACRA, MIPS, HEDIS, Make Care Primary and other regulatory programs.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Data Science team in the development and maintenance of regulatory and quality dashboards, scorecards, and compliance reporting in Oracle Health Data Intelligence Platform ( formerly HealtheIntent & HealtheAnalytics)
  • Interpret federal and state regulatory requirements to ensure IS systems align with emerging laws and accreditation needs.
  • Oversee the configuration and optimization of patient engagement systems including referral management and patient portal tools.
  • Actively participate in Quality and regulatory workgroups, SJMRC EHR governance calls, and interdepartmental forums.
  • Manage or contribute to cross-functional projects related to informatics, reporting, and digital health tools.
  • Mentor analysts and educate stakeholders on regulatory changes and informatics tools.
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve support tickets in ITSM ; escalate critical data quality or system issues.
  • Facilitate analytic governance processes and contribute to system-wide quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, system configuration records, and compliance evidence.
  • Build and update reports in multiple report platforms
  • Collaborate with report developers on data sets and models build in Health Data intelligence
  • Advise on Interoperability integration
  • Each caregiver is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship

    Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
  • Essentially a remote position, with physical presence as agreed upon.
  • May require extended work hours and on-call coverage during significant projects and support of systems.
  • Light to heavy work.
