We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions. **This is a remote-based opportunity** Global Commodity Manager for NAM Sheet Metal & Machined Parts North American businesses responsibility for Purchasing Volume (PVO) in excess of EURO 200 mil. for Sheet Metal & Machined Parts Management, controlling and measurement of pooling and Procurement activities in leading a virtual global team. Striving for industry leading strategies, processes and set up with the goal of sustainable world class outcomes to maximize the contribution to the operating units. Establishing prime suppler relationships with the industry’s best to minimize risk, optimize price and collaboratively define the path forward. Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, with ability to influence without authority to motivate, in an effort to move Siemens Healthineers in the same direction across the commodities. Areas of Responsibility: 1. Commodity Team - Coordinate and manage a dotted line global team to achieve optimized conditions and contribution to net income from material through collaborative, targeted activities and to increase profit from company-wide cross-divisional strategy and procurement. 2. PVO transparency - Ensure global PVO transparency by, amongst others, ensure correct commodity coding (ESN coding) and correct reporting. 3. Commodity strategies - Define, implement and communicate commodity strategy cross-functionally to ensure long-term, cost-efficient, supply of materials. 4. Negotiations/Contracts - Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize Contribution of Net-Income from Material (CNI). Negotiate global frame contracts with key suppliers. 5. Sourcing Total Cost of Ownership Optimization - Organize and support global sourcing projects with total cost approach. 6. Digitalization in Procurement - Foster usage of digitalized Procurement tools to improve processes and efficiency 7. Savings and relevant KPIs - Generate, document and implement savings; plan, monitor and report relevant KPIs (e.g. CNI, eAuctions, Supply Base Optimization) and ensure the target achievement within the Commodity to contribute to business success and make results transparent 8. Knowledge management - Forward systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep stakeholders up to date 9. Supplier Management - Perform Supplier Management: Supplier Qualification, documentation and communication of strategic and key supplier’s data, regular supplier and strategic evaluations and supplier development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and to ensure an optimized supply chain. Ensure 100% quality as key to success. 10. Communication - Maintain regular contact with relevant interfaces to gather information, fully inform network partners and ensure information exchange with relevant interfaces. As one of the largest commodities within Siemens Healthineers, there is high visibility and expectations from all levels within Procurement and cross functional organizations. Communication to internal and external stakeholders is key for success. 11. Cross material fields responsibilities - Work with relevant component pooling units as well as Cost Value Engineering (should costing) to ensure world class cost position. Additional Qualifications Background specifically managing resins and/or plastics category at a large multi-national medical device company. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar education. Advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of strategic procurement, supply chain management and sourcing experience with increasing global responsibility in a large matrixed organization. International travel experience, intercultural management skills and a willingness to travel domestically and overseas, 20% of the time. Ability to manage multiple complex supplier relationships (collaborative vs confronting style). Strategic thinking with the ability to formulate strategies, implementing continuous improvement while driving supplier innovation. The annual base pay for this position is: Min $137,300 - Max $205,900 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
